Robert sold his company in 1994 and took early retirement at the age of 47. He established a global educational organisation that taught business and investing to students all over the world in 1985. He founded a business in 1977 that introduced the first nylon Velcro “surf wallets” to consumers. Robert served as a salesman for the Xerox Corporation following the war. After graduating from college in New York, he joined the Marine Marines and served as an officer and helicopter gunship pilot in Vietnam. Robert Kiyosaki is a fourth-generation Japanese-American who was born and reared in Hawaii. To impart his knowledge, he develops financial education tools including Rich Dad Poor Dad, Cashflow “TM” 101, a financial curriculum based on the board game Cashflow “TM,” and Rich Dad’s Guide to Financial Independence. At the age of 47, Kiyosaki was able to retire comfortably, yet he still makes investments in real estate and other businesses. Kiyosaki co-founded a company that provided business and investing instruction in seven different nations in 1985.
